The PST pressure transmitter or pressure sensor is a high-performance instrument intended for industrial applications where the process media is compatible with the SUS316L stainless steel sensor material and the 304 SS process connection.
The PST pressure sensors employ a piezoresistive effect in silicon. Piezoresistor as a resistor is made from a piezoresistive material, the resistance of which changes with the variable mechanical stress
The sensor is welded to a pressure fitting of stainless steel or brass that provides a high overpressure capability and excellent durability against shock and vibration. The transducer circuitry is held securely within an internal cage and housed in a reinforced nylon and EPDM enclosure.
